1. Seawake Dubai

Fed up of sunbathing and watching everyone else have fun at sea? It’s time to swap the beach for the board and try your hand at one of the world’s most popular water sports. With award-winning wakeboarding instructors and top-of-the-range equipment, SeaWake will have you suited up, standing up and gliding along the waters like a pro in no time.

Price: A 20-minute wakeboarding session costs approx. AED 200

Location: Multiple locations in Dubai Marina, JBR and Jumeirah.

2. Wake Warriors

Thrills, spills and newfound skills are all part of the package when you sign up for a wakeboarding or wakesurfing session with Wake Warriors, a water sports company that’ll get your heart pumping in overdrive. Based out of Dubai Marina with a six-passenger boat at the ready, it boasts friendly instructors with decades of experience under their belts.

Price: A 30-minute wakeboarding session costs AED 250. On weekdays, it’s AED 450 per hour and AED 500 on weekends or public holidays.

insydo tip: On weekends, booking an early morning slot as the waters around the Marina get packed with jet skis and boats after 12pm.


3. Xtreme Wake 

Based in Dubai Marina and Ghantoot Marina, Xtreme Wake provides the boats and boards you need to simply give it a go.
If you’ve never tried wakeboarding, then the staff and instructors at Xtreme Wake are perfect for you. Big on building the community, their main goal is to ensure you have a good time. They’ll make you feel comfortable, so you don’t need to worry about being a first-timer.

Price: Prices range from a 20-minute session for AED 200 to a full-day session for AED 2,500.

Location: Dubai Marina and Ghantoot Marina

insydo tip: They offer a 7-day camp – more so for people flying into the UAE – but you’ll have to venture into Abu Dhabi for that.


4. Wake Evolution

We’ve used Wake Evolution a few times, and the team is fantastic. They’re friendly, they provide all of the equipment, and they offer one of the best locations for the sport. With Atlantis on one side of you and the Marina skyline on the other, the views are awesome. The coaches offer tips to help you improve, so whether it’s your first time or your fiftieth time, you’ll always be developing your abilities. They’re great with kids too.

Price: AED 200 for a 20-minute session. AED 500 for a 1-hour session. AED 1,800 for a half-day session (4 hours).

Location: Palm Jumeirah

insydo tip: These guys cover paddleboarding too; it’s much quicker to pick up, but not as adrenaline-fuelled as the board sports.


5. Sea Riders

There’s something edgy about Sea Riders; from the spray can cursor on its website to ‘The Beast’ – its slick watersport boat – this company screams ‘get yourself on the water’. The crew at Sea Riders offer wakeboarding, wakesurfing and waterskiing for beginners to the pros. They’re big on safety too; you can expect top-of-the-range ropes, boards and impact gear.

Price: Wakeboarding prices start from AED 180 per person for 20 minutes. It’s AED 275 for a 30-minute session.
