The Review

  • The Good

A fresh dining concept in the heart of DIFC, Bazxar is a stylish restaurant and lounge that offers a little something for everyone. Divided up into various types of seating areas, the vibrant eatery offers a funky food menu that's got everything from Cantonese-style sandwiches to big juicy American burgers.

The life of the restaurant scene at Gate Village, Bazxar is home to some of the trendiest weekend brunches, ladies' nights and live music events in Downtown. Whether you're looking for an affordable lunch or the perfect spot for post-work drinks, it's the place to be.

We popped in for quick lunch and found the space buzzing with young professionals as well as the fashionable set. The eatery offers an affordable business lunch menu with a number of options for everyone, even our often neglected vegetarian friends.

If you're a live music lover, Bazxar offers live sets from local jazz bands and singers three times a week, along with some special deals for ladies on Sundays and wine lovers on Mondays.

  • The Bad
The food was delicious, but if you're really hungry, we'd suggest ordering a couple of options from the à la carte menu as the portions at Bazxar DIFC Dubai are quite small. We also found the service a bit slow with servers taking a long time to come and check on you or even bring the bill.

Evenings can get very loud, especially during live music nights or brunch days, so if you're planning a cozy date night, we'd suggest looking to one of Bazxar's quieter neighbours for a little peace and quiet.
  • The Tips
Bazxar DIFC Dubai hosts a 'Prohibition Brunch', which is held every Friday. It's one of the most popular in town with folks dressing up in their favourite Gatsby era outfits and dancing until late in the afternoon. If you're driving, valet parking is available from Gate Precinct Building 3. Bazxar's valet policy requires a minimum spend of AED 200 for each validation.

If there's anything you really need to try on the menu, it's the stylish eatery's Bao sandwiches. Our favourite was the BBQ pulled beef, which we paired with a punchy 'Mexican Car Crash' cocktail. Bazxar has a popular breakfast menu that offers everything from eggs to Parisian pastries until 12pm every weekday.
