Feeling French? You'll want to make your way over to Café Nikki where artisanal, healthy bites are served up with gusto and flair. Home to the Saint Tropez brunch that takes place poolside every Friday, guests can soak up unobstructed panoramas of the Arabian Gulf while nibbling on a five-course gourmet menu full of Mediterranean and seafood delicacies.
Café Nikki is a stunning location to kick back and relax. Part of the Nikki Beach Resort & Spa Dubai on Pearl Jumeirah, this uber-trendy atmosphere features gorgeous interiors clad in wood and an outdoor terrace with million dollar views; it's the ultimate city escape just minutes from Downtown.
Brunch in Dubai doesn't get much more stylish than this; we arrived to find a drinks menu that was far more superior than your average weekend offerings. We're talking a choice of six signature cocktails, including the best Pink Sangria we'd ever tasted. Nothing was rushed during our meal; we felt relaxing vibes throughout thanks to impeccable service from waitstaff who clearly love what they do.
Forget about gorging on endless buffet offerings; Café Nikki instead serves a select amount of dishes that each feel like they've been personally designed just for you. One stand-out platter was the flatbread served with egg and truffle - it had our foodie sensations going into overdrive.
While the Saint Tropez brunch at Café Nikki is welcoming to families (they offer discounts for young guests), we wouldn't recommend coming down with your kids. The restaurant's outdoor patio wraps around the resort's main pool, making it impossible to dine comfortably with small children around.
We were surprised to find that spirits are not included in the brunch package. When we tried to order a vodka and coke, we were told that there would be a separate charge for the drink; guests are limited to the menu options which include signature cocktails, wines and beer.
If you're brunching at Café Nikki, you'll get complimentary access to the resort's exclusive pool and beach. We suggest packing your swimwear and taking a dip after your meal - the facilities are quite incredible. If you want to dine on a sun lounger, speak to a staff member when making your reservations; they might be able to accommodate you depending on how busy things are.
Once brunch is over, you also have the option of heading next door to Nikki Beach Dubai, one of the hottest beach clubs in town. There you'll find a party atmosphere with live DJs performing and plenty of after-party fun on showcase. The café also serves breakfast, lunch and dinner throughout the week.
