Where to Watch Camel Racing in Dubai!

Camel racing has long been embedded into the culture and the heritage of the UAE. Even in modern-day Dubai, the old tradition is still very much alive. Dubai camel racing is extremely popular from mid-October to April of each year, with races taking place at tracks across the city.

One of the most popular tracks for camel racing is Al Marmoum Camel Racetrack. In fact, from the 30th March to 12th April 2018, the Al Marmoom Heritage Festival takes place and camel racing is a main focus. Check out the video above for a glimpse at what to expect at a camel race!

Location: We visited Al Marmoom Camel Racetrack along the Dubai – Al Ain Road.

Timings: Dubai camel racing is popular from October to April each year. As part of the Al Marmoum Heritage Festival (30th March – 12th April), races are running from 4pm to 10pm. Check the website and contact the track for updated schedules as times can change!
