Calling all Jones The Grocer lovers: your fave foodie hangout has finally opened its doors at The Dubai Mall! Say hello to the ‘Gouda’ life… When it comes to gourmet food, fresh ingredients and family-friendly vibes, this Aussie hotspot has pretty much nailed it.
The all-new Dubai Mall branch offers a warm, café-style environment, complete with terrace views, an entire room dedicated to cheese and a quirky Jones Coffee Caravan. We were lucky enough to get a sneak peek at the newest venue before it even opened; here are some of the reasons we’ll be going back there… soon!
The Cheese Room is too ‘Gouda’ to be true
To Brie, or not to Brie… that is the question. Picture an entire room filled with over 80 varieties of gourmet cheese. From Tete de Moine from the Swiss Alps to the Desert Flower from the Emirates, this is literally a cheese lover’s dream come true. Don’t get us started on the Jones Luxury sharing platter – a massive board over-flowing with fresh cheeses, figs, olives, dry-cured meats and crackers.
‘Meat’ us in the Beef Aging Room
Looking to beef things up? One look at the Jones The Grocer Meat Aging Room and you’ll know exactly what you’re having for lunch. Meat cuts are dry-aged above Himalayan pink salt for hundreds of hours, resulting in perfectly tender meat bursting with flavour. Our top pick? Try the Jack’s Creek prime Black Angus beef which is flown fresh all the way from Australia.
Becoming a vegetarian is a huge ‘missed steak’
Offering a gourmet menu that’s as fresh as it gets, Jones The Grocer serves up simple food that can be enjoyed all day, every day. If you’re like us and always order breakfast for dinner, you’ll definitely want to try the Brioche French Toast – it’s sweet satisfaction on a plate!
For the breakfast buffs: Take your pick from the Jones traditional English breakfast, banana and peanut butter acai bowl, plus so many other brekkie faves.
For the dinner lovers: Tuck into the Moroccan spiced lamb shoulder, Jones Signature Dry aged Australian Black Angus tomahawk, Wagyu burger and more.
A ‘penne’ for your thoughts
If you fancy cooking up your own storm at home, the restaurant’s in-house grocery store has everything you could possibly need. Take your pick from an array of gourmet goodies, including wholesome pasta, gift hampers, specialty tea, coffee, honey, olive oil and so much more.
‘Brew-tiful’ vibes on the terrace
One stand-out feature of the all-new Jones The Grocer is its laid-back terrace with Dubai Fountain views. Kick back on one of the bean bags outside while sipping on a latte from the Jones Coffee Caravan. There’s also a kids’ playing area where little ones can enjoy some outdoor fun while you grab a bite to eat. The best part? Kids get to eat and play for free! Enjoy one free kid’s meal off the children’s menu per two paying adults.
