There’s going to be a dry night in Dubai next week to mark the occasion of Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) birthday. Here are the details

Dry night in Dubai scheduled after long holiday weekend

A dry night in Dubai will be officially marked from 5pm on Monday, November 19 and last until 6pm on Tuesday, November 20. During this time, no alcohol will be sold across the emirate, including in bars, restaurants and hotels, according to an announcement from the Department of Tourism and Commerce.

When is the long weekend?

A public holiday for both the private and public sector will be marked on Sunday, November 18, with normal working hours resuming on Monday, November 19.

UAE public holiday 2018 dates you should know:

  • Commemoration Day, also known as Martyr’s Day, will fall on Friday, November 30.
