1. KidZania Dubai

KidZania Dubai is an ‘edutainment’ park of epic proportions where kids learn about adulthood through play. An imaginative facility that encourages young minds to think big, little guests can take part in a vast range of role-playing activities in this makeshift city of make-believe. With over 80 “occupations” to choose from – including a doctor, pilot, fashion stylist, fast food worker and TV anchor – children even get to earn KidZania cash that can be used on cool merchandise and attractions.

Price: Around AED 140 (ages 4 to 16) and around AED 95 (ages 2 to 3)

Location: The Dubai Mall

insydo tip: If you’re planning on hosting a birthday party here, be prepared for expenses to add up; there’s a AED 795 party fee that doesn’t include food or entry for guests.

2. Fun City Dubai

Treat your kids to a day of unlimited fun at Fun City Dubai. Filled with entertaining arcade games and play areas for kids aged one to 12 years, this amusement centre is divided into two zones: The spongy ‘Fun n’ Learn’ area which caters to toddlers, and the action-packed ‘Play Zone’ for the older ones. Decorated with colourful, playful paintings, Fun City offers a thrilling combo of activities from crawl tunnels to ball pits.

Location: Multiple locations but we’re loving Ibn Battuta Mall (it’s cheaper than some of the other branches)

insydo tip: Birthday packages are available, as well as an in-house hairdressers called ‘Kiddy Kutz‘.

Is your little one ready to get active with Barney and Fireman Sam? A three-storey fun house in City Walk 2, Mattel Play! Town is an indoor edutainment centre jam-packed with enjoyable activities for kids aged two to ten. With five themed zones waiting to be explored, kids can scamper across an aerial assault course with Fireman Sam; sculpt kinetic sand with Bob the Builder; get their groove on with Angelina Ballerina; and get crafty at Barney’s playhouse.

5. SEGA Republic

Straddled across two levels of The Dubai Mall, SEGA Republic is an indoor theme park catering to both the young and young-at-heart.
