Your Guide To Exploring Satwa For The First Time

Want to explore the best of Satwa, but don’t know where to begin? We got you! There’s so much to check out there, and we’ve rounded up our favourite neighbourhood gems. From the best spots to enjoy a cup of chai to expert tailors that are totally worth a visit, here is your handy guide to exploring Satwa Dubai…

For a cup of karak chai: Koukh Al Shay

Looking for the best chai in Satwa? We got you covered. Make your way to Koukh Al Shay Cafeteria and treat yourself to a nice hot cup of karak chai – or two, because it’s that good. Fancy having a bite too? Koukh Al Shay also does a delicious milk cake (which isn’t too sweet) and yummy Oman chip parathas.

For some art & culture: Dubai Street Museum

Just take a stroll along 2nd December street in Satwa and you’ll see all the incredible murals painted on the sides of buildings. From Known as Dubai Street Museum, the murals represent UAE’s culture, tradition and history.

For the best kimchi pancakes: Manna Land

One of the few authentic Korean restaurants in Dubai, Manna Land is definitely worth trying out! From kimchi pancakes to bibimbap, this street-style fast food Korean restaurant is everything..

For the best tailor: Dreamgirls Tailor

These guys are Satwa’s superheroes – there isn’t anything Dreamgirls can’t make or fix. Like a designer dress? Snap a picture, send it to them and they’ll make it for you for a fraction of the price! The only disadvantage is that they can get super busy, especially around Diwali (October to November) or wedding season (September – February).

For the best manakish: Al Mallah

Al Mallah’s cheese garlic manakish is one of those things you can never have enough of – it has been a Satwa staple for years, and it will just never get old. Fresh bread with hot melted cheese and topped with garlic paste.. yep, we’re already drooling.
