A New Tokyo-Inspired Hangout Has Just Opened in Dubai!
Calling all Dubai foodies: a trendy Tokyo-Inspired hangout has just opened its doors in D3 Dubai! Inspired by the gaming and Anime culture of Akihabara in Tokyo, Akiba Dori is adding a funky splash of colour to the city’s nightlife scene.

Part restaurant, part bar, the venue is designed to look like a foodhall-style indoor alleyway, with a backstreet Tokyo twist. Eclectic, trendy and oh-so hip, Akiba Dori’s funky vibes is like none other in the city.
We got chatting to the Founder of Akiba Dori, Samer Hamadeh, who highlighted that “Akiba Dori is the opposite of your traditional Japanese dining experience. The space is colourful and inspired by a side of Tokyo that most people don’t know about. There’s a lot of different things to try making it almost like a street market food hall – one of which is the one-of-a-kind pizzeria (Tokyopolitan). There really is a special experience waiting for our customers at Akiba Dori.”

With not one, not two, but seven different experiences to try out, there’s never a dull moment at Akiba Dori. Japanese street food, freshly-baked goods, an arcade room and more, get ready to be transported to Japan in seconds. There’s even an authentic bar serving Japanese beer, AED 99 bottles of grape, and a Tokyo-style pizzeria called Tokyopolitan where pizzas are baked in a wood-fired oven in under 60 seconds (for real!)
From Wagyu Katsu Sando from Kiki’s to Mozzarella & Nutella Taiyaki from Kashi Pan Baked Goods, Akiba Dori is the perfect spot for your next lunch or dinner outing.
Hamadeh also commented that “guests dining at Akiba Dori get to enjoy premium ingredients, delicious food and excellent service – all at an affordable price. With bottles of grape starting at AED 99 and pizzas starting at AED 38, other concepts comparable to Akiba Dori are close to none.”
