Amazing Private Dining Rooms for an Awesome Foodie Experience

For a unique foodie experience, we’re giving you a run down of our favourite private dining rooms in Dubai. Whether you want your own Spanish Cellar at Boca Dubai or a winding staircase into a Latin American hideaway at Toro Toro Dubai, here’s everything you need to know before making a booking…

1. Boca Dubai

This lively Spanish tapas bar is reminiscent of the bustling streets of Barcelona. Celebrating the best of the Mediterranean, Boca Dubai brings together coastal cuisines to the heart of DIFC. Expect classic tapas and ‘pinxtos’ paired with mixologist-brewed cocktails or sommelier-selected wines from Boca’s private dining room, The Cellar.  We love that it’s possible to book The Cellar for pairing sessions, grape tastings or private events.

Price: Private events starting from AED 220 per person

Location: Gate Village 6 in DIFC

insydo tip: For wine connoisseurs, Boca holds regular talks with wine makers, so you can get inside knowledge of the wine-making process.

2. AJI The Palm

AJI The Palm is home to one of the newest, most creative private dining restaurants in Dubai. Fusing together flavours from opposite sides of the globe, AJI will transport you to Peru and show you the Japanese influence from the 19th Century. The result? ‘Nikkei-style Cuisine’, presented on small plates and designed for sharing. The private dining area seats up to 10 people and as long as it’s available, you can book it.

Price: No charge for booking the private space. Approx. AED 500 for two people.

Location: Club Vista Mare on The Palm

insydo tip: If you’re looking for an atmosphere, you’re better off avoiding AJI on weekdays and opting for the weekend instead.

3. La Cantine du Faubourg

Echoing the famed Sanderson Hotel London, La Cantine du Faubourg is a French restaurant-cum-bar decked out with funky walls of graffiti art by Parisian artist Kokian.The restaurant oozes glamour and boasts an eclectic menu of French Mediterranean cuisine. La Cantine’s Salon-Privé is the name of the private dining area and it’s perfect for an intimate à la carte group experience for 8-12 people.

Price: You’re looking at a minimum spend of AED 500 per person (just for food)

Location: Emirates Towers Hotel, World Trade Centre

insydo tip: La Cantine du Faubourg is not the place for a family affair, so book it for a more sophisticated soirée.

4. Marina Social Dubai

Private dining rooms in Dubai don’t get much trendier than the one at Marina Social. Serving up a British Mediterranean fusion of flavours, Marina Social is a trend-setting culinary hotspot brought to life by Michelin Star Chef Jason Atherton. From the gallery kitchen and terrace seating to the chic bar (The Social Room), this place creates a buzz. The private dining room at Marina social can seat up to 20 people; if you are booking for more than 12 people, they will provide a set menu and price.

Price: Private dining for up to 12 people will be around AED 500 per person. For more than 12, you will receive a set menu from AED 250 to AED 450 per person.

insydo tip: The restaurant has five service trollies that offer you Champagne, cigars, and an extensive selection of whiskeys and digestifs at your table side!

5. La Serre Dubai

A true downtown gem, La Serre in Vida Hotel offers guests two glitzy options for private dining tucked away in the back corner of the restaurant – the chef’s table and the more secluded dining room that hosts up to 22 people. Your private room won’t come cheap, but it does come with an impressive bespoke menu for you and your guests.

Price: Clocking in at around AED 500 per person

Location: Vida Hotel, Downtown Dubai

insydo tip: Everyone should visit La Serre for breakfast at least once (and order the Pain Perdu)!

6. Toro Toro Dubai

A lavish latin hot spot tucked away in the ultra-luxe Grosvenor House, Toro Toro is the perfect place to host an event for the livelier bunch. Follow the spiral staircase down to the wine cellar and enjoy a hearty dinner in the private dining room. The pan-latin eatery’s private dining room seats up to 10 people and has no minimum spend (result!).

Price: No minimum spend! You’ll pay for what you eat and drink.

Location: Grosvenor House in Dubai Marina

insydo tip: The private dining room in the cellar is non-smoking.

7. The Back Room – Cocktail Kitchen Dubai

Located in Armada BlueBay Hotel at JLT, the traditional yet modern European restaurant boasts a team of passionate mixologists and an ultra cool atmosphere. Choose your poison and hang on tight for the ride. The private room at Cocktail Kitchen is perfect for group dining or a cocktail masterclass with your very own bartender.

Price: Set menus start from around AED 225

Location: Armada BlueBay Tower 2, JLT

insydo tip: The prices are a little higher than you’d expect from its low-key location.
