If you’re looking for a yummy afternoon tea in Dubai, then look no further; we’ve found 9 must-try experiences around the city. From the infamous Burj Al Arab afternoon tea to a low-key affair in Old Dubai, here’s a run down of the best high tea Dubai has to offer…

1. Fashion Afternoon Tea at WAFI

An afternoon tea for fashionistas, the Fashion Tea at Raffles incorporates the essence of the season’s latest trends into an innovative menu. Expect to find chocolate stilettos, blueberry blushers and bite-sized handbags served in style. Teas and coffees are unlimited, so you can try as many you like. Held on the lobby level of Raffles Dubai every day from 2pm to 7pm, the Fashion Afternoon Tea is one of our favourites!

Price:For the non-alcoholic package: AED 249 for two people. If you want two glasses of champagne it’ll cost AED 449 for two people.

2. Afternoon Tea at Fortnum and Mason

What better place to enjoy afternoon tea than in Downtown Dubai with amazing views of Burj Khalifa and The Dubai Fountains. Fortnum and Mason is located seconds away from The Dubai Mall, offering locals and expats a varied selection of teas, finger sandwiches, scones and cakes, all served in high-tea tiers. A highlight for us was Fortnum’s Afternoon Tea Sundae, a unique variety of layers consisting of cucumber and mint sorbet, strawberry and scones ice cream and coronation ice cream.

3. High Tea at Sultan’s Lounge

The Ottoman-style Jumeirah Zabeel Saray Hotel on The Palm offers one of the best high tea experiences in Dubai. Sip on delicious tea, while devouring 24-carat gold truffles with vanilla butterscotch. Surrounded by art works, incredibly high ceilings and breathtaking chandeliers, Sultan’s Lounge offers an afternoon tea which provides enough to feed three.

At Ossiano Dubai, you’ll get an out-of-this-world experience that’s worth bragging about; this restaurant offers a high tea experience that should be savoured for special occasions with friends and loved ones.

5. Afternoon Tea at Al Fayrooz Lounge

Located in the lobby lounge of Al Qasr Hotel, the award-winning Al Fayrooz Lounge offers a delicious selection of sandwiches, cakes and light snacks, ranging from Victoria Sponge to English Fruit Cake and traditional scones. With unlimited refills and stunning views, how can you resist?

Price: Al Qasr Afternoon Tea – AED 225 per person. Royal Afternoon Tea – AED 325 per person. Hendricks Afternoon Tea – AED 325 per person.

6. Burj Al Arab Afternoon Tea

The Burj Al Arab Afternoon Tea is known throughout the city and is one of the best ways to enjoy the 7-star hotel setting without paying to stay there. From Saturday to Thursday. the Sky Tea is served in the Skyview Bar, offering guests unparalleled views of Palm Jumeirah and the World Islands. There are two sittings, at 1pm and 3pm. You’ll enjoy a whole host of treats, including tea, coffee, sandwiches, pastries and cakes served with homemade jams and Devonshire clotted cream.

Price: AED 620 per person | An additional AED 100 applies per table for window seating

insydo tip: The Sky Tea package is an indulgent delight for visitors because of the location. However, as residents, we feel it’s over-priced; there are better value options in other top hotels around the city.

7. Burj Khalifa Afternoon Tea

A visit to the world’s tallest building is a must while living in Dubai, and one of our favourite ways to enjoy it is by booking a table for High Tea at Atmosphere. Dress up and enjoy the ride because the fastest elevator in the world will be taking you to your afternoon destination. Indulge in delicious sandwiches, pastries and scones while soaking up the views of Downtown Dubai and the surrounding area.

Price: AED 490 for a window view or AED 420 for a non-window view.

8. Café Des Artistes

Café Des Artistes is a contemporary restaurant sitting in one of Dubai’s most creative shopping spaces: Box Park. If you haven’t already experienced this creative hub, then gather your friends and make the most of the Afternoon Tea at Café Des Artistes between 2pm and 6pm daily. The free-flowing coffee and tea make it possible for you to spend the entire afternoon switching off from everyday city life and catching up with friends while enjoying gourmet bites.

9. Afternoon Tea at the Arabian Tea House

Arabian Tea House, nestles away in Al Fahidi is a little cultural escape that is perfect for a casual and relaxing afternoon tea with friends. Located in a large courtyard, the tea house is reminiscent of a quaint back garden with rustic vibes. Enjoy a selection of sandwiches, scones, carrot cake and mixed fruit for a decent price, while relaxing on wicker chairs and comfy sofas. It’s one of the most budget-friendly afternoon tea options; just don’t expect any bubbly!
