September 4, 2017

Looking for a Sunday roast dinner on a Saturday in Dubai? You’ve come to the right place. Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, roast beef… we want it all! There’s something incredibly comforting about tucking into this British food favourite, so we’re bringing you ten of the best roast dinners in Dubai that’ll keep you satisfied for the next couple of months. Enjoy.

1. Reddy Roast

When we discovered Reddy Roast in Sports City, we almost cried with excitement (…admittedly, we were recovering from a weekend party). Have you seen the menu? There’s a Yorkshire Pudding bowl, a Yorkshire Pudding wrap and even a family roast that serves four people. With roast potatoes, vegetables, sage & onion stuffing & homemade gravy complementing your meat or veg of choice, you can’t go wrong with this one.

Price: AED 85 for an Aussie beef roast with all the trimmings

Location: Sports City

insydo tip: The location is a little out of the way, but there’s a home delivery service – result!

2. The Eloquent Elephant

If you’re ever missing out on London vibes, head down to The Eloquent Elephant where you’ll find a gastropub that’s bursting with personality. A popular choice for Friday brunch and live entertainment, it’s a cosy spot to hang in the heart of Downtown. Located in the Taj Dubai hotel, you’ll find classic British style that blends vintage and modern; a real neighbourhood joint that serves homestyle cooking and plenty of friendly smiles.

Price: AED 99 for roast chicken; AED 120 for lamb; AED 120 for beef

Location: Taj Hotel, Downtown Dubai

insydo tip: Ring in advance to check which meat is being served up!

3. The Scene

One look at The Scene‘s old-school chalkboard website gives you an idea of what this typically British venue is all about. With a distinct 1960s/70s feel, the restaurant shapes its cuisine on British pub classics and comfort food, including a juicy roast dinner. You can even pop in for an English breakfast and morning cocktail combo.

Price: From AED 119 per person

Location: Pier 7 in Dubai Marina

insydo tip: The roast dinner is served on Friday, Saturday and Sundays from 12pm onwards.

4. The Irish Village

Steeped in Irish character, but blessed with Dubai sunshine, The Irish Village Dubai is an award-winning pub that oozes the authenticity of the Emerald Isle. The homely food is up there with Dubai’s best pub grub in Dubai; you can enjoy the Chef’s Roast of the Day, including Yorkshire pudding, roast vegetables, gravy and a meat of your choice.

Price: Approx. AED 60 per person

Location: Garhoud

insydo tip: The Irish Village serves pork. The outdoor area is awesome for drinks and food in the cooler months.

5. Fibber Magees

No matter what city you visit, you’re likely to stumble into (…or out of) an Irish pub. Very much a Dubai landmark for the influx of Emerald Isle expats, Fibber Magee’s is that back-alley bar that sets the scene for a true Irish shindig. Longing for a Sunday roast? We recommend a slow-roasted lamb shank; it’s presented on a bed of sun-dried tomatoes with mash, steamed vegetables and mint gravy.

Price: The Slow-Roasted Lamb Shank is AED 72

Location: Saeed Tower One, World Trade Centre

insydo tip: There’s nothing fancy about Fibber’s; expect real pub vibes in an unassuming location.

6. Gaucho

Located in DIFC, Gaucho Dubai serves up a traditional roast with an Argentine twist. This contemporary restaurant offers a luxury dining experience in a trendy Downtown location. Nestled in the shadow of the Burj Al Arab, this modern eatery boasts a beautiful terrace and food menu that feels as though it’s been plucked straight from the streets of London’s East End. We love their Roast of the Day; with everything from beef to veal plus all the trimmings, it feels like Sunday every day of the week.
