Autism Rocks Arena Will Be ‘Dry’ For All Upcoming Concerts…

November 15, 2017

If you purchased a ticket for an upcoming concert at Autism Rocks Arena, including gigs for Ed Sheeran, Jennifer Lopez and Elton John, here’s some important news…

For all future events taking place at the arena, the venue will now be dry. The announcement came from Al Ahli Holding Group, the landowner of Autism Rocks Arena.

In a statement, they explain that the venue will no longer be serving alcohol for all upcoming events, effective November 2017.

“Al Ahli Group believes that a “dry” Arena will position the venue as a family-friendly destination and ensure that events taking place there remain all-inclusive and appeal to all ages,” the statement read.

Ticket holders can request refunds

117 Live, the concert organisers for Ed, J Lo and Elton, are giving ticket holders several options on how they can proceed forward. A Facebook statement read:

“In an effort to cater to a larger audience across all age groups, Al Ahli Holding Group, the landowner of the Autism Rocks Arena, has made the decision to change direction and operate the Autism Rocks Arena as a dry venue for the foreseeable future. This means that upcoming concerts including Jennifer Lopez, Ed Sheeran and Elton John will not serve alcoholic beverages at the venue. 117 Live will accept and respect the decision taken by the landowners and will implement accordingly.

“We are putting on three huge shows with international artists in the next few weeks, and those who attend will receive a complimentary AED 50 food and beverage voucher at the Arena.” – 117 Live
