Islamic New Year, also known as Hijri New Year, will fall on Thursday, September 13, according to an announcement from WAM. The occasion will be observed by ministries and federal agencies, with details regarding the private sector yet to be announced. If we’re lucky, residents can expect a three-day weekend, with work resuming on Sunday, September 16.
