New rules for Ramadan tents serving shisha in Dubai

Dubai Municipality is banning shisha and smoking in Ramadan tents during iftar. The ban will be in place from the time the cannon is fired (marking iftar time in Dubai) and continues until 9pm, according to Gulf News.

Government officials are putting the rule in place to ensure the health and well-being of families who frequent the city’s popular iftar venues. The ban will apply to all Ramadan tents in the emirate.
