7 Events in Dubai You Cannot Miss this Weekend

It’s the first weekend of 2019! Even though most of us will still be recovering from the New Year’s Eve celebrations, there are so many cool events in Dubai this weekend that you just cannot miss! From ‘glamping’ on the beach to jazz nights and sunset brunches, here’s what to do in Dubai this weekend…

1. Sundown brunch

There’s a new Friday brunch in Dubai, and this one lets you have a lie-in till 3pm! Don’t miss the Sundown Brunch at Seven Sisters Dubai every Friday, with tasty food, sunset views and DJ Skinny Loop and Devon Kosoko spinning the hottest Hip-Hop & RnB hits.

2. Glamping & beach party

Ready for an adventure in RAK this weekend? Yalla Yoga invites you to its glamping, yoga and beach party in Ras Al Khaimah. This overnight event kicks off with fun beach games and stand up paddleboarding, followed by sunset yoga, BBQ dinner, campfire and a movie night. The next morning, there will be a sunrise yoga class and more beach games and kayaking.

3. All that Jazz!

Whether it’s date night or you just love jazz and pizza, make your way to Jazz@Pizza Express on Saturday night for ‘All the Jazz!’.  For just AED 210 for two, you can enjoy a bottle of grape, dough balls, two mains and two desserts.

4. RBG film screening

Based on one of the most notable figures in history, Ruth Bader Ginsburg (dubbed the “Notorious R.B.G.”), this film was won 9 awards and 26 nominations. RBG is the second female justice to be confirmed to the court. She was appointed by President Clinton in 1993 to the Supreme Court and is a living icon of gender equality.

5. Family fiesta

Round up the fam and make your way to Seville’s on Friday for its weekly Family Fiesta! There will be lots of tasty dishes for the foodies, and free activities to keep the little ones busy including a bouncy castle, face painting, arts & crafts and more!

6. Watercolour workshop

Want to learn how to paint in a day? Valentina believes you can! Sign up for this beginner Watercolour painting class, and Valentina will teach you all the basics, tips and tricks. By the end of the class, you’ll even get to take home a masterpiece you created!

7. Jammin’ beach party
