'IMAGINE, A Child's Dream' is Finally Revealed and We Were There!

We just had the greatest ‘dream’ of our lives at Dubai Festival City… and now it’s your turn to experience it too!

The new IMAGINE show just launched at the Festival Bay waterfront, and we can guarantee that you’ve never seen anything like this history-making spectacle. When IMAGINE Dubai first launched the ‘biggest show on earth’ last December, it managed to break a Guinness World Record for its mind-blowing special effects. Well… they’ve done it again!

From dreams to reality

Ever wanted to bring your favourite dreams to life? At the new IMAGINE show, titled ‘A Child’s Dream’, this high-tech attraction takes Dubai dreamers on a journey to the ultimate fantasy world (and beyond!)

Using lasers, fountains, fire and incredibly realistic 3D projections, the magic starts at sunset as the story of a whimsical boy (with a BIG imagination!) lights up the sky over Festival Bay. You’ll get to peak inside the playful child’s mind as he conjures up airplanes, whales and dancing robots… it’s extraordinary to watch!

A world record is broken

Dubai’s now got ANOTHER Guinness World Record… yesss! The ‘Largest Permanent Projection Mapping’ in the world at IMAGINE is a million shades of ‘woah’. The futuristic special effects make holograms appear larger-than-life over the waters at Festival Bay and on the facade of the InterContinental Hotel – it’s a dazzling mind-trip that you won’t be able to take your eyes off of.

Art gets super-sized

One of the coolest features at the launch of the new IMAGINE show were the ‘dream stations’. Children (and adults!) got to animate their dreams on digital pads and see their work projected onto the side of the InterContinental Hotel. Now that’s the kind of attention artists deserve!

Prizes, music, and ice cream

IMAGINE is the ultimate family event where you’ll spend the night experiencing something spectacular. Guests at the launch got treated to everything from Häagen-Dazs ice cream to a super sweet performance from 12-year-old singing prodigy Lynn Al Hayek, winner of MBC’s The Voice Kids Arabia. Virgin Radio host Kris Fade even handed out AED 5K in prize giveaways… score!
