Malls Where You’ll Find Deals & Save Money

July 26, 2017

With so many malls in Dubai, it really is hard to keep up. That’s why we decided to scope out the city’s malls where you’ll find deals and save money. You’re welcome!

1. The Outlet Village

A retail destination that almost feels like you’re strolling through a medieval Tuscan town, The Outlet Village is a dream for any bargain hunter looking for luxury goods at a fraction of the price. About a 30-minute drive from Dubai Marina, the Italian-themed mall boasts more than 40 brands – including Michael Kors, Diesel, Coach and Mamas & Papas – with additions on the horizon. Feeling much more “high-end” than other outlet malls in the city, the space has been thoughtfully designed and easy to navigate.

Location: Dubai Parks & Resorts, Jebel Ali

insydo tip: It’s worth noting that the stores are quite small and some discounts aren’t as good as others at certain shops.

2. Outlet Mall Dubai

Love a good bargain? You’ll find discounts galore at Outlet Mall Dubai, home to over 1,200 international brands such as Calvin Klein, Guess, Nina Ricci and Nike. With discounts of up to 90%, you’ll be walking away with much more than you bargained for. Catering to the whole family, kids can enjoy a day at the world famous Chuck E. Cheese, while you get lost between the hangers.

Location: Dubai-Al Ain Road, Dubailand

insydo tip: Pop in from Sunday to Wednesday, between 10am and 2pm, and enjoy a free cup of coffee if you spend more than AED 100.

3. Dragon Mart Dubai

Stepping foot inside Dragon Mart Dubai will open your mind to a whole new world of shopping. Steering well clear of the swanky downtown malls, expect to find over 4,000 door-to-door stores kitting out the dragon-shaped building. Stretching 1.2km in length, it’s possible to spend an entire day sifting through the maze of imported goods. Divided into zones, you’ll find areas for home appliances, tools, office supplies, furniture, garden equipment, textiles, garments – and a lifetime’s supply of gadgets.

Location: Dubai International City

insydo tip: Bear in mind that Dragon Mart doesn’t open until 2pm on Fridays, which can be irritating if you’re trying to beat the weekend crowd.

4. Khan Murjan Souk

Step back in time to old-world Arabia by visiting the extravagant Khan Murjan. A replica of a 14th century souk, Khan Murjan is split into four quarters and offers a number of various shops and vendors from across the region. Incredible architecture, great bargains and an authentic Middle Eastern restaurant that serves shisha indoors, there’s no wonder why this souk is one of the most popular in town.

Location: Wafi Mall, Umm Hurair

insydo tip: Be sure to visit the restaurant during winter months; this is when the roof opens up, making the whole courtyard experience much more memorable.

Happy shopping!
