Dubai’s Got a Huge New Beachfront Hotspot Opening Next Week…

Dubai’s new beachfront district La Mer is set to open next week in Jumeirah 1, and it’s bringing some exciting attractions with it. The first phase of the project – located near Mercato Mall – is set to launch on October 15. Here’s what you can expect…

The seaside concept by Meraas (the group behind City Walk and The Beach) will feature over 130 restaurants, shops, cafes and beach activities across 13.4 million sq ft.

It is divided into 3 distinct districts – La Mer South and La Mer North (opening to the public next week) and The Wharf (launching in 2018 with cinemas, a waterpark and the city’s first dedicated surf park).

La Mera will play host to a range food and beverage concepts that will be new to the region, including licensed venues across the district.

Also in the pipeline is a hot new beach club called Sea Spice, set to open in the near future. The space will feature day beds and cabanas available for hire.

Dubai’s also set to get a new air-filled trampoline park called Hawa Hawa – a really cool concept out of Japan.
