Work on the New Dubai Metro ‘Route 2020’ Project is Underway

Get your Nol Cards ready because travelling on Dubai Metro will soon have you connected to more of the city, thanks to a massive expansion plan in the works.

With the arrival of Dubai Expo 2020, nothing is going to impact residents as much as the new Metro transport links currently underway.

The Route 2020 expansion of Dubai Metro will feature a 15km route linking the Nakheel Harbour and Tower station on the Red Line to the Dubai Expo 2020 site.

As shown in the clip, around 3.2km of track will be underground between Discover Gardens and the Green Community. The total length of the track will be around 15 km and will have seven new stations.
