Expo 2020 Needs 30,000 Dubai Volunteers to Help During Six-Month Event
Want to be a part of a history-making event? Well, here’s your chance to get in on all the Expo 2020 Dubai action as an ambassador for the UAE.
Expo 2020 Dubai has launched a search for more than 30,000 volunteers who will be the ‘face’ of the largest global gathering ever to be staged in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia. The six-month event kicks off on 20th October, 2020, with the 3-year countdown starting now.

From October 20 onwards, anyone interested in volunteering opportunities with Expo 2020 Dubai can visit www.volunteers.ae/expo2020.
Here’s what’s you should know…
- More than 45 types of volunteering roles will be available, from welcoming guests and guiding them around the Expo districts to managing events
- All nationalities, ages and backgrounds are encouraged to apply
- Volunteers can participate in Expo events leading up to 2020, as well as brainstorming sessions that could see their ideas included in the event plans
- 25 million visitors from around the world are expected to descend on Dubai for the six-month event
- Expo 2020 will require 16 million volunteering hours across 173 days
