Ramadan working hours in the UAE have been announced for the private sector. Here are the details

Ramadan working hours for private sector revealed

Work hours are set to be reduced during Ramadan, which is expected to begin on Thursday, May 17, subject to the moon sighting. For the entire private sector in the UAE, working hours will be reduced by 2 hours.

This will apply to all employees across the country, irrespective of whether they are Muslim or non-Muslim. (The exception is DIFC, which is governed by its own laws.) The announcement was made by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation.

For those in the public sector, working hours will be from 9am to 2pm.
