Job applicants in the UAE will now have to submit a ‘certificate of good conduct’ in order to receive a work visa in the country. The new requirement will take effect starting February 4. Here’s what you should know…
New UAE visa requirements for applicants
Those coming to the UAE for the purpose of work must obtain a ‘good conduct and behaviour certificate’, also known as a police clearance certificate in some countries.
The certificate must be issued by the applicant’s home country or residence for the last five years. It must also be attested by UAE diplomatic missions and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The new requirement does not apply to visitors and tourists.
